This is my second Hexohm 3.0. My first was solid black and I just purchased the second in the Seafoam color.
These are extraordinary devices. The build quality is superb just as was the first.
I purchased this device primarily to have as a backup in case my first ever dies, but after using it for almost a year I doubt it ever will.
There’s an off chance I might meet my demise like Arnold in Terminator 2 and be lowered into a seething cauldron of molten metal but I’m not sure that would even kill this box if it was fished out in time.
I thought about going with a different device but after careful consideration I just couldn’t around the fact that this 3.0 is perfect in every way. It vapes great. It looks even better. It’s design is flawless.
It’s machined out of solid aluminum which means it will never break. The inner electronics are protected by a highly robust Ultem sled. The battery contacts are brass. The 510 connector is rock solid with a brass pin as is every component in this build.
When you hold this in your hand, you realize you are holding a quality product.
One of the best features and one of the primary reasons I purchased the second one instead of something else is the design with the magnetic door. Inevitably, tanks will leak even if it’s a subtle condensation. The way the door mounts to the body on this gadget is it creates a groove around the entire perimeter and no liquid will get inside. This can’t be stressed enough how important this is because once ejuice gets into the inner workings and the electronics package, therein lies a potential for failure. It’s virtually impossible to happen with this device.
I looked at some other high end mods and none that I found had this feature and I view it as a requirement.
Additionally, the firing button is exquisite and the potentiometer is stiff but to me that’s just another plus. I know it will stay where I set it . These are just a couple of more details on this box that scream quality.
The safety mechanisms (max 10 second fire, reverse batt protection, low voltage cutoff, on/off switch inside the box) all act to prevent a catastrophic failure.
Oh and the new 3.0s are now shipping in a beautiful two piece black box which is great for both display and for storage.
There is only one downside to this device and that is it ships without a user manual and I am both a practitioner and advocate of “RTFM”.
Is this an expensive mod?
Yes, it is.
I learned something a long time ago which makes the cost a no brainer:
Buy the best and cry once.
Cheers.
